On behalf of the corporate board and the shareholders, I would like to share some important news about leadership changes here at The Olayan Group. Camile Saba, CEO of The Olayan Group, has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2023. Over the course of more than three decades at TOG, Camile has been an invaluable member of the organization in a variety of roles. His journey as a second-generation member of the Group began in 1986 when he joined our New York team, playing a key role in establishing our focus on private equity. Over the years, Camile assumed various leadership positions, including Managing Director for Investments in the Americas and ultimately the Head of Olayan America in January 2018. In 2019, he was named the Global Head of Listed Equities and Co-Head of Private Equity, before assuming the role of CEO. We are immensely grateful for Camile’s values-driven leadership, dedication, and contributions to TOG, and ask you to join us in wishing him a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement.
We have unanimously agreed to appoint Hani Lazkani as the incoming CEO, effective January 1, 2024. Currently serving as the Global Head of Alternative Investments, Hani oversees all private equity and real estate activities managed by our international offices. Most recently, Hani assumed responsibility for leading the Group’s expansion into Asia, while also opening the Singapore office in 2019. Hani’s past roles have included serving as the Head of Real Estate and Co-Head of Private Equity, where he worked closely with Camile. Before that, Hani led investments at Olayan Europe Limited (OEL), where he managed public and private equity for Europe and Asia. Throughout his 27-year career at TOG, Hani has consistently demonstrated his expertise, passion, and commitment to our organization and its values.
We are confident that Hani’s leadership will build upon the strong foundation Camile and his predecessors have laid, driving The Olayan Group’s ongoing success.
We are grateful to Camile for his outstanding leadership and service to The Olayan Group, and wish Hani well in his new role as CEO. Together, we will continue to move The Olayan Group ever forward for future generations.
Hutham Olayan
Chair of the Corporate Board
